Mactan-Cebu International Airport
About Mactan-Cebu International Airport
Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) is the main international gateway to Cebu and the Central Visayas region, serving millions of domestic and international passengers every year. Located on Mactan Island in Lapu-Lapu City, the airport connects Cebu to major destinations across the Philippines, Asia, and beyond, while also serving as an important hub for tourism, business, and regional development.
Operated by the Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority (MCIAA), the airport is recognized for its modern architecture, passenger experience, and operational standards. In 2025, MCIA received the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Award as “Best Airport” in the Asia-Pacific region under the category of 5 to 15 million passengers, recognizing its commitment to service excellence and customer experience.
The airport features both domestic and international terminals, along with a growing mix of restaurants, cafés, retail stores, lounges, transportation services, and passenger facilities designed to support travelers throughout their journey. Its iconic terminal design, inspired by traditional Filipino architecture and coastal forms, has become one of the most recognizable landmarks in Mactan.
As one of the busiest airports in the Philippines outside Metro Manila, MCIA plays a central role in connecting visitors, overseas Filipinos, businesses, and local communities to Cebu and the wider Visayas region.
